Wine Profile: Nestled in the heart of the Rutherford Bench, the Bosche vineyard has the ideal terroir for growing elegant and balanced Cabernet.  The color is deep ruby and the nose opens with aromas of blueberry, black cherry, cassis, milk chocolate and blonde roast coffee.   The palate is rich, creamy and full and complimented with flavors of black pepper, forest floor, black olive and warm oak spices.  The tannins are well integrated, making the wine delicious now and giving it the ability to age well for decades.

Primary Vineyards: 100% Bosche Vineyard, a small 22-acre vineyard located west of Hwy. 29, on the famed Rutherford Bench, the Bosché Vineyard has very deep gravelly soils. A seasonal creek crosses the vineyard which indicates the water table to be high in the spring, providing water and nutrients for new shoot growth. As veraison approaches the water table drops, stressing the wines and intensifying the dark velvety fruit flavors. This is a natural area to grow Bordeaux varietals with dry farming or minimal drip irrigation.

Life span in a proper cellar 20-30 years.

"The blend is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot, with the aging spanning 21 months in 63% new French oak. It's a more mineral-driven, savory wine, offering a stunning core of blackcurrants, cassis, pure graphite, leather, and dried herbs and it s already nuanced and complex. These carry to a full-bodied wine that has fine tannins, a big, dense mid-palate, and a great finish."
