2006 Napa Valley Petite Sirah
Vintage and Winemaker's Notes:
This wine is opaque dark ruby in color, with reddish hues. Aromas of black raspberry, dark plum, dark cherry, cassis and an earthy juniper berry. The bouquet is distinctive with aromatic cedar, clove, vanilla and spicy American oak. The flavor is full of flavors of dark plum and dark cherry. With a firm crispness, this wine has a long fruitful finish with totally resolved tannins. From start to finish, the 2006 Petite Sirah is full flavored for those red wine lovers out there...this is not a wimpy wine!

- Varietal Composition: 79.7% Petite Sirah, 19.1% Cabernet Sauvignon, .8% Merlot, .4% Cabernet Franc
- Aging: 15 months in 60- gallon American and French oak barrels
- The primary vineyard Ahern was planted in 1994, the soil is a gravelly clay loam
- Alcohol: 14.2%
